We’re BAAAAAACK!

 (well, that is NOT the “NEWS FLASH”!)

After our very special “JFK family reunion” event last October,

 we took a much needed ‘break’ from our blog.

it was intended  as… a “little break”

 but a funny thing happened during our ‘hiatus’…

in true ‘scarlett o’hara’ form, whenever we would talk about what to do next,

our decision inevitably was,

“we’ll think about it tomorrow…”

so the days  turned to weeks,

and the  weeks turned to months….

and

“to post, or not to post…”

became THE question…

(well, there were OTHER questions….)

We had some additional entries and profiles that had  been previously planned,

but we never had the time to put them on the blog PRIOR to the reunion…

so what do we do with them, now?!

we have more ‘EVENT’  material and news to share and to post…

but isn’t it ‘moot’ now that SO much time has passed since the reunion?

and finally….it’s been so long since everything took place…

would anyone really care after all this time?

 …but to our great surprise,

7 months AFTER the EVENT

we realized that people continued to visit the blog!!!

~~~
still…what would the impetus be,  to ‘begin again’?
and then, we found the PERFECT answer…
we are SO happy to re activate our blog
 in support of
a very special part of our ‘JFK Family’.
 we DO have exciting ‘NEWS’,  specifically for the
CLASS OF 1971 ALUMNI!!!
We recently received the following note…
“We’re celebrating our 40th Reunion!
We invite you to
share in the festivities on September 3, 2011!
This will be our last gathering for just our class.
So please join us for some FOOD, FUN,
and
SHARING  old memories!
We will be celebrating in a private club room in the
Long Beach Marina area,
thus, we can only accommodate 100 people.
So please
don’t delay in sending in your reservation!
We look forward to seeing you!
Even if you’re unable to attend,
please let us know your contact information
for any future gatherings!”
on behalf of the class of ’71 Reunion Committee,
We continue to hear from so many of you in these months since the reunion…
and remain so touched at the feelings expressed for our blog,
and for the jfk family reunion…
hearing that people still reminisce our night together,
and knowing that people still visit our blog, is so special.
There ARE other things that remain to be shared,
but that we’ve not yet made decisions on, the how and the when…
However, we wanted to take this time, to not only wish you and yours
a wonderful holiday season,
but also answer the two most frequently asked questions.
1.  we WILL continue, (although SPORADICALLY), to post on the blog.
2.  we ARE going to work on making some additional things available
(dvd’s or some kind of  photo memory from the family reunion)
which we will announce in the new year.
until then, sending you
HOLIDAY HUGS…
debi & reiko
just a little something to remember from our very special night…
like a drummer, who plays different rhythms simultaneously
to create ONE beat, or  the orchestral  composition,
who’s individual musicians  play different passages,
to create one beautiful piece of music,
the JFK FAMILY REUNION… created a synergy of hearts,
that  BEAT as ONE…
and LOVE was most definitely…and most abundantly,  in the air,
on that memorable evening.
MANY more pictures of the event itself to follow, soon…
but until that time,
please enjoy some of the memories from our time together,
on the GREEN CARPET
the night of OCT. 9, 2010.
POSTSCRIPT
Thank you SO much, to those of you who have expressed your feelings
and appreciation for that TRULY magical night.
It meant as much to us, as it did to all of you.
We will be continuing to post on the blog,  in the weeks to come,
as we have profiles, and pictures yet to do.
Please sign up, if you wish to be notified, or check back now and then.
ONE HUGE FAVOR:
if you have a favorite memory, or short little story
from the JFK FAMILY REUNION,
please jot it down and save it or email it to me, naomi,  robin, or debi.
We may do a collection of  little stories
reminiscing the evening that we all shared.
We missed those of you who were unable to be with us, and are so happy
that through the blog, and facebook,
we will be able to share some of those special moments and pictures
to make you FEEL as though you were with us.
**********
We  were ALL together in SPIRIT, whether in the physical form, or not.
When the slide show images of Mr. Mac, Mr.C, and many many others
flashed on the screen….
you KNEW, that they DO live on in our collective IRISH hearts.
kennedy kisses,
reiko (GAIL)
