The story of us…
On October 9, 2010,
Five Classes of alumni along with our teachers, coaches, and counselors
from John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma, California,
returned home for a very special gathering…
A 40th “Family Reunion”.
Through the many months leading up to this event,
this blog has chronicled our journey ‘home’
with classmate profiles, the history of our beloved school,
special tributes to faculty members we have cherished, and cherish still,
and remembrances of those we have lost through the years.
It’s been an emotional ride for many of us….
to step back and remember who we were back then,
and to share with each other, who we are now.
And on that night… what we found, is that while much HAS changed,
a surprising amount remains the same….
We are still that amazing group of students from that amazing school.
And we have been so very blessed.
Some people say ‘you can’t go home again’….
But what we found was, that on those rare occasions,
when the stars align, and the hearts are in perfect harmony….
That you indeed, CAN.
And oh, how we did…. And what a joy it was…
Those feelings, and the memories of our times together….
will linger in our individual hearts and minds, for an age….
WE are FAMILY….

I can not believe its been a year! Wow it was a wonderful time with friends from the past and reconnecting with them. Love to all of you and our wonderful time together. May it never end!
